Beata Cedrzyńska earned her Master of Arts degree at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. Her diploma was supervised by prof. Teresa Miszkin. From 2002 to 2012, Cedrzyńska was employed at the Fine Arts Academy in Gdańsk. In 2016, she was conferred a post-doctoral degree in the field of fine arts by the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Painting. She currently holds the position of professor at the Faculty of New Media Art of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Her art practice includes painting, drawing, graphic arts, and photography. Winner of numerous awards, honours and scholarships, including: awards of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage-Grand Prix at the 7th International Andriolli Drawing Competition and the 10th National Youth Painting Review, Grand Prix at the 6th International Biennial of Painting and Unique Textile-Awards of the President of the City of Gdynia, Cultural Scholarship of the President of the City of Gdańsk, Honorary Distinctions at the 25th Festival of Contemporary Painting in Szczecin and the 4th International Biennial of Painting "Quadro Art", the award of “Format” art quarterly, grants, and scientific and didactic awards of the Rector of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.
Author and participant in about one hundred and fifty individual and group exhibitions both in Poland and abroad.
